  • Thanks Joe!

I took your event about hosting events, which was fabulous and insightful. You have really provided a synopsis of that event in this article and a vlear reminder that it is not about "you" the event host, but is for the attendees. Thank you for giving such a great roadmap!

  • Thank you Suzi for this practical and thoughtful article. You really broke it down into the needs of the elevator speech and the how to....very clear. The funny thing is that the elevator speech sounds so easy and yet, for some of us (me) it is such a challenge and your article trulyu addresses the pieces and clarifies! Thank you! Debra

  • I find value inf linkedin and facebook but use them for different things.

I use linkedin for researching companies and contacts that work in larger companies and in areas outside of seattle as well as Seattle. it is a great resource for a broader range.

I use facebook for more personal networking, family and friend. I have not figured out how it advances my professional objectives yet.

Biznik has its mosrt benefit for me in the local Seattle area and what I love about it is actually geing able to meet people and doing hands-on cross network referrals. I find that value only comes from what you put into it, not what you try and get out of it.

  • Thanks Ken,

I like the idea of keeping emails categorized...you described what happens to me perfectly. It is the getting sucked into reading things that I either do not want to read ever or at least at that moment that causes the problem. Categorizing is a great way to stop this habit. I appreciate your comments and insight!

  • Jack,

Thank you for this article....fabulous articulation of the changes in business paradigms! As I read the article I was particularly impressed with how rhe changes in business are paralleling the changes in the legal system and how we handle conflist in general....as we find we really are all connected we honor the other so much more and create much better, balanced solutions ....the systemic changes are so much more holistic! Thanks!

  • Thanks Dennis!

I have always used aol and have found it to be pretty efficient! The problem I have had is mainly caused by my own inefficiency....i tend to look at emails throughout the day...i am now trying to regulate myself so that I only look at emails 2-3 times a day and then i always try to make a point of responding within 24 hours...cannot handle having a build up! Thank you so much for your feedback and input!
