It is funny how life changes your plans so quickly, just when you think you have them figured out.

I am just starting out my new career as a travel photographer. My work was on display at Mercer Island Eye Works in August/September 2008. A big thanks to Helen and Dr. Masciocchi. I also owe a big thanks to Criss & Juanita from Frame It for doing all my framing.

My photo, Midnight Dreams, was just chosen to be on display at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center from October 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. The display is open to the public and free of charge to view. You can find this photo on my website. It is the second photograph under the Washington gallery.

I am thankful for my full-time job now as a Pediatric ICU nurse, this allows me the time and freedom to explore and start my new career in photography. I am learning to go with the flow of life wherever it takes me. This has completely altered my life so far and who knows where I will end up, but I know I will have a great time along the way.

I was intending to try out Health Care Writing, but feel the need to follow my heart. I love traveling and have had many great experiences already. Right now I am focusing on photography, but will really start working on my travel writing next year.

As a young child I dreamed of having two careers, the main one was nursing and secondly travel photography & writing. I followed my heart and became a nurse. I didn't see how I could do both careers. Little did I realize that years later, I would once again follow my childhood dreams to become a travel photographer & writer.

I love taking pictures of nature and the beauty in this world. I feel inspired and rejuvenated when I travel and see the natural beauties of this Earth.

I also love working with people. I am blessed to have a job that has taught me what is truly important in life. This is spending time with loved ones and that you are never too old to follow your dreams of your heart.

I started out in the healthcare industry as a volunteer 19 years ago. I took a couple years off from college to be a nanny. In college I worked as the unit secretary and certified nurse's aide (CNA). I have worked as a Neonatal and Pediatric nurse either in the ICU or ER since graduating from college. I am now a travel nurse with a budding career as a photographer.

I started taking pictures as a young kid with a little 110 camera I got from selling magazines in grade school. My poor family was the source of many unattractive photos as I learned how to use my camera. A big thanks to my parents for continuing to develop all these pictures! I have taken a B&W photography course in college, while working as a nurse. In the meantime I have read a lot of books and spent many hours of practicing.
