According to the scientific and regulatory community we chiropractic doctors are "Spinal Health Specialists." Most of what I do relates to spinal health and it's relationship to overall health and wellness.

In my office I use the Activator Methods Technique as well as others. I help people move from pain, disability, and disfunction to comfort and full function. That takes any number of forms, but usually starts as First Aid for an episode of back pain, neck pain or headaches.

In my office I use the Activator Methods Technique as well as others. I help people move from pain, disability, and disfunction to comfort and full function. That takes any number of forms, but usually starts as First Aid for an episode of back pain, neck pain or headaches.

Once patients are comfortable, we begin to talk about how they can stay that way or be even more comfortable: if they want to. That usually involves one of many discussions about daily "practices" they can choose from which will stabilize and strengthen their spine (or "core" if you prefer).

I also do and teach tai chi and it permeates all other aspects of my life including my chiropractic practice. Classes are Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Bally Total Fitness, Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Everett Community College, and Saturday mornings at 11:30 a.m. at the Kindred Spirit Learning Center above the Co-op in downtown Everett. As a discipline that integrates bodywork, breathwork and energy work, tai chi provides an entry point for gaining awareness in a wide variety of areas. Many patient benefit from participating in the classes I teach because they know that I know their spine and health issues and that they can safely participate without being concerned about me asking them to do something that will hurt them.   Denis is truly gifted when it comes to undertanding the needs of others; I was in a horrible car accident several years ago and went to him for care. He was very good at assessing what I needed and yet gentle in his approach as I was in a lot of pain. He took time to explain what and why he was doing what he was doing,not just crack me and send me out the door like alot of chirporpactors do. I was so afriad when I first started going to see him but he made me feel comfortable almost right from the start by explaining things and giviing me the support I really needed in order for healing to take place.He didn't rush me or ever overextend my visits either---everything was in balance.As is his attitude about his practice and how he treats everyone.
