Somewhere between; being told by my cardiologist at the age of 15 that, "You could die at any minute from strenuous exercise," because of my defective heart valve, racing bicycles after that, open-heart surgery at 27 years of age and seeing my father, up to the age of 90, ride his bicycle up to 40 miles on a given day and have close to 10 weeks a year that he rode 100 miles, I've developed a number of strong impressions and passions. One is that life is not a bystander sport. Another is that life is short. Even at 90, I'm guessing it feels like it came up quickly. Also, it sucks not being able to breath, move, do the things one wants to do. I know from experience.

I am exquisitely excited by helping folks turn their health-life around. I have participated in that process, different for everyone, for a dozen years. Whether providing specific chiropractic care as part of a HealthStyle(r) Program; training and participating with non-cyclists in riding 210 miles in 10.5 hours of riding time; coaching others through difficult transitions; supporting the process of self-discovery or teaching about the process of health, I am thrilled by this being human and helping others make the most of their lives as I play to make the most of mine.
