Hi Brian and Nancy,
Thank for the interest! We're definitely going to be looking to include the deaf community. You'll both be invited to our event on Thursday. I'll email you separately.

Thanks so much, Elana, for hosting this. I really enjoyed meeting both you and Shirliey, your shop is great, and your chocolates are amazing. I hope you get to meet more Bizniks soon.
Dolores
I'm very sorry, but I have to cancel. I was looking forward to it.
I hope you have a great event!

As someone who's made mistakes here, then more mistakes trying to fix the first ones, I look forward to being able to edit my posts. Even 5 minutes would help, because I can see what's wrong right away.
Evenings tend to be better for me than days, although Thursdays at noon or 1:00 would generally fit in with my schedule. As for which evenings, it varies from week to week.
Hi Rachel,
Sounds great, if the timing works out. I'm all for support groups.
Hi Amy,
I like Eclectic Earth Design. I also like Earthfriend Design. I'm not sure how you communicate that you do both interiors and graphic design in one name, though. Maybe two related names-- Eclectic Earth Interior Design, and Eclectic Earth Graphic Design. Of course, (channeling Dominic) it all depends on your target market.
Sounds good to me, Dan. It looks like an excellent book.

Nope. Still not completely right. But at least you can see the article now.
Jeez.
OK, I messed up the html on my last post. Here's the article that quotes Phoenix and
Hopefully I got it right that time. I obviously don't use HTML often.
P.S. The dentist's name is Paddy Lund, and if you Google him there's info all over the internet.
Hi Chris,
In the marketing seminar with Tad & Dominic, Tad told us about an Austrailian dentist who sat down with each of his potential patients before he started working with them and told them what they could expect from him and what he expected from them. He said they could expect him to always be on time, always keep up on the latest technology, and some other things I can't remember right now.
In return, he expected them to always be on time, have more of a relationship with him than just patient-dentist, and always pay their bill in full at the end of the treatment.
He also gives amazing customer service, and he's always in demand. So it sounds like a great idea to me. Why not find out if the relationship is going to work before you put any time &/or money into it.

Sara couldn't make it either, and you two were the ones who were interested originally. She & I were planning to get together & discuss it, so if you want, I'm happy to schedule a third meeting.
I'm all for approaching selling with a new attitude. Usually, the things that challenge us the most also offer the greatest potential for growth.
Another thing you might be able to do is find someone to trade services with. There might be someone who doesn't mind cold calling, but hates to do their books, or something else that you like.
Or you might be able to find someone else who hates selling, and work together to overcome the issue. Support makes a huge difference.
We had a great discussion, but only two people coulde make it with the snow. We'll try again, because the book really is worthwhile.
Hi Everyone,
I'm going to be there tonight regardless of weather, because I'm housesitting in the neighborhood. So come if you can safely. If you can't, we can always reschedule.
Dolores
Sorry you missed it, Belinda. If there's any interest, we'll have another one.
I don't know what you call yourself, but one of my friends called me a whirling dervish.
Sounds good, Suzanne. Let's talk on Monday, before or after the book discussion. If anyone else is interested, I'm up for discussion with other people, too.
You should post your offer in the offers section, too, because a lot of people won't read this discussion.
Duh. Of course you could find it yourself. I obviously shouldn't be allowed near a keyboard before 10AM, or my first cup of coffee.

That's great,Kelly. I'm sure he'll be in touch with you soon. In the mean time, there's a lot of valuable information on his website. You can read his blog, and see what services he offers. Here's the site:

Hi Rebecca,
I'd suggest you save the money, and do a consultation or marketing class with Dominic Canterbury instead. In fact, I'm going to send him a referral. Dominic can help you figure out what your target market is, then target your marketing to them. Instead of spending $300 a month to reach people who might not be your customers, you can spend much less to reach the people who will.

Hi Rachel,
I also thought there was way too much to cover. I'd like the class to be at least 3 hours, because it's all good stuff.
When I talked to Dominic the other day, he said he's considering making his target audience portion a separate class. I think that would really help, because that takes a while. But, once you have the target, everything else is much easier.

I was signed up, Joseph, but had to bow out, because I can't do Wednesdays. I'd love to come on another night.
Dolores
Hi Rachel,
I don't have any specific questions, but I'm really looking forward to your class. I'm relatively new to blogging, and I'm not going to start my business blog until after the class. I need some guidance!
