Dr. Ronald S. Federici is a Board Certified Developmental Neuropsychologist and the Director of the Neuropsychological and Family Therapy Associates clinic in McLean, Virginia. Dr. Federici and his experienced colleagues assess, diagnose, and treat complex neuropsychological, developmental, and mental disorders in children primarily adopted from international locations. Dr. Federici is a prominent field expert who has published numerous books and articles detailing his research and treatments. His book, "Help for the Hopeless Child: A Guide for Families" is in its second edition, and his latest book, "Escape From Despair: Through the Eyes of the Child," is in press. Dr. Ronald Federici has also been involved in lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C. to change and improve current policies regarding international adoptions. In 1999, he was called upon to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to offer his expert opinion regarding the obstacles and policies of international adoptions and issues related to the Hague Treaty.
