What Edward does
Edward Chip Conk has been a business minded individual seemingly from the start. He began in earnest while a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As an undergraduate, Edward Conk organized a contest that would ultimately lead him to build the leading calendar and poster publishing company in the world. Today, one of his tasks is to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Montecito Medical Investment Company (MMIC), a job for which he is well suited. Founded in 2005, Montecito Medical Investment Company (MMIC) is devoted to offering investors diverse real estate options. Montecito Medical Investment Company (MMIC) was founded by Edward to be one of the largest privately held companies with a distinct specialization in acquiring and developing hospitals, medical office buildings, skilled nursing facilities, and long term acute care and surgery centers. Edward Conk has been asked "Why medical real estate?" before, and for him it's a matter of pure demographics. An aging population coupled with advances in technology have made medicine is the world's largest industry. Edward predicts that in 2007, USD $2 trillion will be spent annually on healthcare in the USA, a figure he anticipates will increase to USD $4 trillion a year over the next 7 years. In this way Edward has strategically positioned MMIC to be at the right spot at the right time. Today, MMIC employs 30 people full time and maintains executive offices in Santa Barbara, California. Acquisition and operations offices are located in Nashville, Tennessee, Austin, Texas and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, while the MMIC legal team is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Edward Conk currently resides in California.
