Nightmares are power dreams.

In my 17 years of doing Archetypal Dreamwork, I have come to know this as truth, both for myself and for the large community of people I have worked with. Archetypal Dreamwork springs from the work of Jung, but sees the Animus and Anima as messengers from the divine, not parts of the self. It combines gestalt techniques of Fritz Perls and some planetary cycle work from Dane Rudhyer as tools to plumb the depths of the subconscious for the precious gifts from the unconscious, the messages of dreams.

Archetypal Dreamwork

I am fairly new to the Seattle area and am leading several introductions to Archetypal Dreamwork, one at the Stonehouse in Kirkland in June and one and East/West Bookshop in July. I work one-on-one with clients in helping them to understand the deeper messages of their dreams. This work is quite different from traditional dream interpretation or astrology. We talk about archetypal forces through discussion of the planets, but following the Dane Rudhyer view of planetary cycles. The healing of the psyche can be dramatic, as it has been for me in my life.
