Good information Zeke, blogging is a time eating strip down for some people, for others it's a living. I like seeing actual resources and links that are useful rather than bouncing around on opinions. Not all blogs are created equal - this one is worth following.
Thank you for the invite Scott. I'll be attending Green Drinks but wish you well, it sounds like fun.
Iskra, I love your suggestion of getting on an elevator and striking up a conversation to make it real. When my husband and I were dating we use to go high rise hiking to get a view and exercise at the same time. We took the stairs to as many top floors as we could get into. There is nothing so exhilarating as enjoying more than one thing at a time. I also have a personal quest to talk to more people I don't know, the diversity is astounding.
Great topic Suzie, an elevator speech seems to be most effective when done politely. Thank you also to Jerza, I checked out the site you mentioned and signed up. The little test they offer gives one a better reflective perspective.
I must apologize, I am still new to this system, when rating I sent the needle the opposite direction and with no way to edit will the next person please take the rating back up a notch for me? I liked this article very much. You were right on with your positive follow up Mark. Cold calls are tough to face and must be balanced with rewards. There is one more point I would like to mention - that is the fact that cold calling makes you a more courageous person in ALL that you do. Now go out there and talk to someone, the world is your artichoke.
Thank you for your direction. I'm sorry I could only stay for an hour but your presentation certainly was interesting, online letters to be circulated through the wonderful weave of the web etc. This also shows the power of bringing in advisers from out of our area - thank you too, Lori.
Hi Delaine Thank you for hosting this event, it was exhilarating. I enjoyed meeting you and Naomi (and Andy). The fresh air opened my mind to possibilities. This is an activity that can be enjoyed by two or one hundred and two.
Oh I'll be there. After four days of this week I'll need a walk. See you tomorrow.
This may sounds funny but when it's not raining I like to walk and read. I seem to read faster that way. I believe the same applies to walking and talking so be aware and if I get rattling too much just shut me down okay? Looking forward to listening as well.
Hey this sounds good. I write more stories than e-newsletters it's time I did a few. Also it will be fun to see new faces as well as chat with those I already know.
This is such luscious information. It would be nice to have a dedicated space for all of these recommended books such as the "Good Reads" site.
I didn't see a recommendation for "Selling the Invisible" by Harry Beckwirth. He also wrote "The Invisible Touch. Both of these books are inspiring.
This was the best event I've attended since becoming a bizniker! What fun being on your toes all the time while meeting new friends. Even though my score didn't show it, I think better when I'm moving around throwing things. Thank you Bliss, Tom and Jane for the brilliant idea.
Constant research is my favorite mode of propellant. I like finding out what people are up to, especially in the green living areas. Because I am in the business of promotion I am always on the watch when people say their needs. Listen to people, make suggestions, calculate the experience of your assistance then make them an offer.
I have a meeting at 7 but this sounds fun, I'll stop in and see if I can be late for my previous engagement.
Details, details. The devil is in the details.
Nice outline. A thought promotes a habit, a habit promotes a character, a character promotes a lifestyle.
I was at Exit Realty at 3:15 on Fri Nov 7. They said there was no meeting. Was it cancelled?
Ask me about bringing good ideas and budget minded opportunities to the home improvement industry. This will be fun.
Thanks John, I'll check them out.
Does anyone here set appointments?
Thank you for making us feel welcome. I did learn something. Thank you Lori for your wonderful advice. It was great meeting you and others it was also refreshing to connect with people I already know.
New to Biznik, this sounds fun. My friend Nancy and I would like to join you. I will be watching to see when, where and what comes through.
Hi all, just checkin' in. Interested in ideas from people who love working on residential spaces. People who want to upgrade their cribs and the domains of others to live more sustainably. I wonder how many people will actually read my post, I don't seem to have time for more than 10 pages. Nice to meet you Conrad.
Any chance you would be planning a trade show in Bellingham?
