What Ervil does

Harvard alumnus Ervil Spencer received his MBA in 1995, quickly securing a position in the High Yield Originations Group with international investment bank TD Securities. Spencer advised numerous clients on debt restructuring, enabling them to facilitate mergers and acquisitions and strengthen their balance sheets. His success earned him a promotion to Vice President where he took on the additional responsibility of training associates and analysts in structuring transactions. Ervil Spencer's efforts raised over $12 billion in capital for his clients.

Ervil Spencer continued to develop his skill through his next position as a Director of Leveraged Finance with New York-based investment bank UBS Warburg. His duties with the company included negotiating contracts in leveraged finance deals, which generated $10 million in fees within one year. Spencer also served as a Director in the firm's Global Industrials Group, focusing on originating and executing transactions with clients from the general industrial sector. He identified potential clients and high yield bond opportunities. Spencer also led the company's Harvard Business School recruiting team, discovering top MBA candidates for UBS Warburg's Corporate Finance department.

In 2003, Ervil Spencer shifted his expertise from banking into an academic role, joining his undergraduate alma mater, Pace University, as an Assistant Professor. Spencer taught courses in financial, managerial, cost, and intermediate accounting. He was also responsible for creating course reviews and organizing exams.

While serving as Assistant Professor, Ervil Spencer took on the additional task of creating his own company. Spencer founded CS Financial Advisors in Montclair, New Jersey, providing consulting services to U.S. non-residents on complex tax treaty issues. His niche brand quickly became successful due to a high referral rate.

Ervil Spencer rejoined TD Securities in 2007, applying his comprehensive financial knowledge as a Director of Investment Banking to advise and build relationships with financial sponsor and corporate clients.

Currently, Ervil Spencer works independently as an investment banking professional.
