Think and Grow Rich!

People are complaiining about their worth, what they get paid and how the government is helping or hurting their lives.  Very few of these people have done a personal audit to identify if their own self government is hitting its own objectives.

Have you read Napoleon Hill's Think & Grow Rich? If you haven’t then perhaps now is the time you should.  Although originally published during the Great Depression it is as relevant today as it was 70 years ago. Mr. Hill lays out a simple plan, which if followed, will help you attain the financial success that you deserve. This plan, along with the secret to success given to him by his mentor Andrew Carnegie, has created more millionaires than any published essay before or since.

I'm not going to tell you anymore of Napoleon Hill's plan, other than to quote a paragraph found on page 22.

Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty. A great poet has stated this universal truth through these lines:

"I bargained with Life for a penny,

And Life would pay no more,

However I begged at evening

When I counted my scanty store.

“For Life is a just employer,

He gives you what you ask,

But once you have set the wages,

Why, you must bear the task.

“I worked for a menial’s hire,

Only to learn dismayed,

That any wage I had asked of Life,

Life would have willingly paid.”

As you think about this wonderful poem, think about yourself. Have you compromised with life because you didn't believe you were smart enough, talented enough, good enough or worthy enough? Have you settled for less than you truly deserve? Do negative thoughts fill your mind and cause fear in your heart? If so, you are certainly not alone. The majority of people allow negative thoughts to rule their conscious minds.

Go back to the title of Napoleon Hill's book. What's the first word in the title? It's Think. Whatever we think, we create. It's the secret Andrew Carnegie gave to Mr. Hill. It is the secret to success. It's the secret to your future! Our thoughts create things. Positive thoughts create our dreams. Negative thoughts create our nightmares.

Today you learned a great secret. If you change your thoughts you'll change your life. Whether you'll go out and buy Think & Grow Rich or any of the other books I recommend on my website (http://www.achievexcorp.com/index.php?topic=Pede) is certainly up to you. But keep this thought in mind; the only thing that you can truly control in your life is your thoughts. Control your thoughts and you'll control your destiny.

And That's This Week's Sales Meeting Minute
