Interior Redesign

I'll re-think and re-arrange your furniture, art, and accessories to make sure they're being used to their best advantage for your home, tastes, and lifestyle. Sometimes I'll also suggest, or even help pick up, a few new touches to pull it all together. Typical results are fresh and stunning, and perfectly suited to you.

Feng Shui

The essence of Feng Shui acknowledges simply that our lives are strongly affected by our environments. It offers guidance, based on thousands of years of observation, in arranging our living spaces to work with natural energies and their universal patterns. This helps our spaces feel alive and harmonious, which in turn helps us feel balanced and inspired. This ultimately enhances our health, relationships, careers, and overall wellbeing.

I seamlessly incorporate this powerful wisdom into my approach in a way that is very down-to-earth and intuitive. The profound effect is that your transformed space doesn't just look good -- it feels good too.

SpaceTransform is a unique service by designer Gwen Williams that blends Interior Redesign and Feng Shui to create spaces that are comfortable, functional, and beautiful, with a nourishing flow of energy.

I am a certified Feng Shui consultant specializing in Authentic Form School Feng Shui; I trained at Blue Mountain Feng Shui Institute under Master Shan-Tung Hsu. I am also a certified Interior Redesigner, trained in Canada through the Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (I.R.I.S.) to help people make the most of their existing belongings. I studied Interior Design at Bellevue College, and have degrees in Psychology and Biology from Hamline University.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes you walk into a room and it makes you feel wonderful... like there is some magic formula at work? And sometimes, when you walk into a room and the formula is off, you can't wait to leave?

I have always been particularly sensitive to those first impressions, and through my life have paid attention to what the elements are in spaces that contribute to my comfort... or lack there-of. Some of them are obvious, and some of them are more subtle.

Early on I discovered that I intuitively knew how to create or adjust spaces so that they felt amazing. Later on, I realized that this was my very favorite thing to do. I formally studied Interior Design to build a solid foundation of design concepts and principles, Feng Shui to gain a vocabulary to describe the flow of energy which I already intuitively understood, and Interior Redesign to focus on an approach that is not simply about buying more stuff. SpaceTransform was born out of this journey.
