  • WANTED: organizing; OFFERED: interior redesign & feng shui

    Hello,

I have recently moved my home and office and could really use some help devising and implementing some excellent organizational systems for all of my %#&$* stuff. I want my space and systems running smoothly, and I'd like someone with a bit more expertise to help me get that going.

In exchange, I can offer my own interior magic in the way of interior redesign and feng shui -- refining and beautifying the aesthetic and energetic arrangement of your furniture, art, and accessories.

Please let me know if you may be interested. Thank you!

  • Need Seattle-area Client for immediate Interior Redesign at a DISCOUNT

    Hi everyone,

Many of you know: I use Interior Redesign and Feng Shui, rearranging people's own belongings to look and feel amazing.

I currently have an opportunity to have a job covered in the Seattle Times, complete with Redesign before and after pics.

I'm looking for people who are interested in having a redesign done on their living room and who are willing to be considered for this situation. I am offering a substantial discount on my redesign work for anyone who would like to be considered, and an even steeper discount for the home that I choose to work with for this story.

The redesign would need to take place ASAP -- this Friday, Saturday, or next Monday. I would like to do some free initial consultations in the next couple of days to prepare for this.

Are you interested in having a home that looks beautiful, feels comfortable, and is functional? Would you like to have this work done at a significant discount? Are you open to having my work on your home covered in the Times? Are you available for this work to happen in the next week? If so please get in touch! Even if I end up working with a different home for this article, I will offer discounted rates to anyone who is willing to be considered for this situation.

Please contact me ASAP if you have any more questions, or would like to take this great opportunity.

    Thank you!

    Blessings,

    Gwen Williams

  • Better to mail or email a press release?

Does anyone know the best way to distribute a press release? Whether to mail a hard copy, or email? And if email, to include an attachment, or put it in the body of the email? Thanks very much for your help...

    Hi all,

Does anyone have a copy of the Wall Street Journal from July 19th? If so, would you be willing to please send me a clipping of the article on Interior Redesign that features my business, SpaceTransform? According to the electronic version, it is on page D2. Please contact me if you have & would be willing to send this to me, and I'll get you my address. Thank you so much!

  • Local Media Contacts to forward my National Media Coverage to?

    Hi everyone,

I got a surprise write-up in the Wall Street Journal yesterday (they did an article on Interior Redesign, and as it turns out one of my clients was a reporter for the piece). The coverage is great, but national-level exposure doesn't get me much business. So, I'd like to forward the article to local media contacts in hopes that they'll want to run a story (or do an interview or radio show) with me, thus using this to fuel more local business. Does anyone have recommendations or contacts for local publications, radio shows, TV shows, etc. which they'd be willing to share? Thanks for your help as I try to make some noise!

  • Passing on Info for Part-Time Office Job (Seattle)

One of my clients has a business repairing credit for people. He asked me if I might know of anyone, a student perhaps, who is looking for an easy office job. It is basically filing, about 10-20 hours a week, paying somewhere in the $11-$14/hr range. The hours are flexible. The office is in Pioneer Square. To start as soon as possible...

Contact me if you or someone you know is interested, and I'll pass on his info.

    Thanks,

    Gwen

  • Know a craftsperson who could build-out a custom home-office?

Hi, I have a client who has a very funky-shaped room that she wants to use as a home office for her and her husband. I'm fairly positive that the only way this can work is if someone custom designs and builds the perfect solution. Does anyone know a craftsperson who could masterfully build something like this? Thanks so much for your tips, Gwen

  • Peer coaching / accountability partnering

As a self-employed person who lives by myself I struggle with holding myself accountable for making progress toward the goals I have for my life, work, art, and health. I have lists of visions and lists of actions, but so many items on those lists get ignored for far too long while my energy goes to the inevitable less-important distractions.

I know that I need someone to help coach me along and hold me accountable for taking steps to achieve my goals.

I've been toying with the idea of hiring a life coach; however, I am first going to explore a more peer-oriented way of getting and giving this kind of accountability. I have found a person to partner with who has a similar dilemna and need. We are going to attempt to be peer-coaches or accountability-partners for each other.

I don't have any experience in this purpose of relating, and I was hoping that y'all might have some advice for ways to make this a successful venture. Tips on starting, structuring meetings, tracking progress, and coaching each other along our journeys would be most valuable and appreciated.

Blessings to you and your rich journeys ~

  • Interior House Painters for Seattle and the Eastside?

I can't believe it, but I don't see any house painter members in the Seattle area. Does anyone have recommendations for super-professional, detail-oriented, reasonably-priced interior painters? Please send them my way. And please invite them to join Biznik!

    Blessings ~

  • Community Bulletin Boards for Posting Flyers & Cards?

    Hey all,

I've been posting business cards (and sometimes flyers) on various community bulletin boards, with some good resulting exposure/contacts. However, I only really know about (and thus am posting to) the boards within my own little Seattle orbit. Do you know about other community boards that I could target? Maybe other people also use this form of marketing... and we could compile a big list of community boards that are open for posting...?

    I'll start:

PCCs (everywhere) Madison Market Capitol Hill, on 15th: -Rainbow Grocery -Dance Underground -Victrola Essential Bakery in Madison Valley Zoka Cafe in GreenLake

Also, if your workplace has a board that you'd be willing to post my flyer to, please let me know -- I'd be very grateful!

    Thanks everybody!
