  • Dan, I've learned so much through Biznik. Back in the day, it was 40 people in someone's living room.

I spent several years assimilating Biznik lessons through many networking events, seminars, and meetings.

This year I sat back and said, OK, I've done all of it; now I'm going to BE all of it. And guess what? The phone never stopped ringing.

I'm about to move to Minneapolis and I've already got 2 new clients there. Ahead of my move.

I have to assume I'm now living my brand: be seen, be heard, be healed, be whole.

Thanks for confirming my Biznik lessons!

    Warmly, Hannah

  • Elke,

I finally had time to read this article after an incredibly busy week. Learning the hard way (many times over) to trust my intuition and ALLOW rather than MAKE things happen has created such abundance in my life. Such happiness. Such satisfaction. Such synchronicity!

When I joined Biznik I was doing everything I could to MAKE my business grow. I was cranky and tired and preoccupied with MAKING things happen. I was MANIFESTING like an Aries.

I don't know which alien from the mothership performed the lobotomy, but boy it sure felt good when I got to the other side ;-))

OK, just kidding, really. But I finally arrived at this place of letting go of the effort, asked for help, trusted my intuition, allowed the right people to show up, and voila....the Pisces took over.

My practice attracts 2-4 new patients weekly. I sincerely adore most of them.

My words will be published in 2 professional books this year. Both opportunities fell into my lap.

I sold 6 paintings without having a show, and I have an art exhibit coming up in November. (What I did to get that? I told Hsuan-Hua I would have a solo show with all new pieces in November this year, last November. When I sold my 6th painting, the buyer suggested I call her friend's place and inquire about showing my art. When I called 3 weeks ago the gallery manager said sure, but the gallery wouldn't be available until November.)

I'm in the most awesome relationship. I connected with him when I finally decided to just "create a vacuum" instead of trying to "meet someone."

Fear kept me from allowing synchronicity to show up in so many arenas of my life. I thought if I stopped making my best effort, everything would disappear. Instead EVERYTHING SHOWED UP.

Every day I express my gratitude, excitement, love, and genuine caring...and the synchronicity and abundance keep expanding. Sometimes - I have to confess - I need to shut out the world because it takes time getting used to all this.

    Thanks for this Elke!

It's all about the space you create...

On the road to happiness and synchronicity, I recommend signing up for free "Notes From the Universe" by Mike Dooley. They will amuse and sustain you in the gaps.

  • Thanks Karrie~ great to finally meet you after so long. How nice to find an event I can walk to from home and enjoy several new people's company. I'll definitely come again - next time however I'll bring a jacket!

  • Victoria, I feel we each have our strengths. That is where collaborating can support the needs of a given client.

Leif, "ironic Seattle edge" - yes, that does fit doesn't it?

Bob, Yes, no, it is not sexy. Not like the couple who started this revolution...

Christian J, semantics indeed. Collaboration is a much more specific way of networking. Networking can mean just about anything.

Christian M, positivism sets a strong intention.

    Thanks for your thoughts, all.

  • I love this post Elke. l have always had a craving for sacred space - (not that I always understood it nor knew how to create it) - and intuitively set up altars in most of the spaces I occupy. It never feels complete without one.

In my office hang two of my paintings that were created out of a profound growth period for me. Not a day goes by when patients don't comment on one or both of them. They can feel the "healing" energy of those paintings and it's so amazing to share that part of me with them.

    Love your stories too!

Thanks for the many wonderful comments by others on how sacred space personally benefits them.

  • Thanks for this article. I asked several patients to Yelp me and got responses already. I'm looking into implementing more of your suggestions.

Re blogging, I did this for many months. While I didn't get a single patient from it, I know it was helpful to some already-established patients. And eventually I was offered to write a chapter in a book focused in my specialty: Homeopathy.

  • Thankyou David - actshullie, I'm heading down next weekend so maybe I'll check it out the salon while I'm there.

The Circle of Roots is really womb-like isn't it? Of course it's also kind of looking up at the sky, church-like....or maybe it's about how the womb IS the place of worship.....no, no, I think it's about roots and the importance of being grounded.....

  • Oh yeah, I've been in Local color - love that place. And I've seen great art there too. Unfortunately I find the Craigslist "Artists" section to be a timesink with a lot of flotsam and jetsam to wade through. Thanks for the suggestions Emma.

As for Hotwire, I've been to the store next to Easy Street Records and really liked their stuff. I will keep them in mind as well, love that 'hood. And I work near Pike Marketplace so I guess it's worth checking out their other location. Thanks Cari!

  • Leila,

    Congrats on moving forward!

At some point I'd love to offer a creativity workshop, like the ones I've done on Vashon using visualization, art-making with mixed media, etc. I normally keep it to 6 people but chez toi maybe 8 or 10. And your place would be perfect.

    See you soon.
