About Hilarie

I am a mental health counselor and author, specializing in internet and video game addiction. The book, co-authored with family therapist Kim McDaniel, is titled VIDEO GAMES AND YOUR KIDS: HOW PARENTS STAY IN CONTROL. It can be purchased through Amazon, Border's on-line, and from the website for the book, VideoGamesAndYourKids.com.

We wrote the book because we saw how desperately parents needed this information. We speak to parent groups, at conferences, and offer training to therapists and other professionals interested in this growing problem.

I am a pioneer in this field, having started Internet/Computer Addiction Services in 1998.
