The Camping Dog (http://campingdogsupplies.com) is all about spending quality time outdoors with your family and 4-legged friends. I carry unique, portable, affordable dog toys, travel items, treats, and raw foods. Seasonal items such as fleece and waterproof dog coats and boots are also available. My site is all about quality products -- if it's not durable, practical and very useable, I don't carry it.

I also offer a virtual in-home pet shopping service so you have the opportunity to ask questions and make sure you're getting the best products at the best prices to meet your needs.

I'm building the Resources pages for my website and would love to know about your favorite resources for dog training, pet health, travel, and animal rescue or service organizations that are doing good work.

My education for this whole enterprise came from several sources:

• years in the corporate world as a writer, trainer, and instructional designer
• adopting my first dog 6 years ago and having to learn everything about training, care and feeding, and getting her healthy.
• experiences of going on weekend trips with an active labrador retriever while trying to figure out how to get all of the stuff in my then-small car along with the dog. I learned that compact, lightweight, portable and durable travel items are very important! Especially now that a 3-year old border collie mix is now a part of our family.

My work experience in corporate America most recently is in instructional design for both instructor-led and web-based training, content development of course materials, student materials, and instructor prep materials.

I also have an extensive writing background as a technical writer for technical pieces, training manuals, end user knowledge bases, online help files, and virtually any kind of business writing there is. I also have worked as an applications trainer. Not to mention, I'm a certified personal coach.
