Lori, thanks for the book event today. It was very refreshing and a great reminder of my own sales skills. Sometimes I just need to remember what I already know. I always come away with one great idea and I did that today.
Warm Regards, Jack

This event keeps me focused on finishing my chapters of my business book. I have not missed this event in the last 8 months. I schedule my month around these 3 hours each month. Great information and high energy make up this time together. Howard is a master for keeping everything on track. I will give another copy of my first book away. "Freedom From Work" for some lucky workaholic. See you all there.
I had to learn this the hard way ( thank God for Biznik) in my first business with a large number of employees. I was averaging 100 hours a week or more. 30 years later in another business I was working 3 to 4 hours a week. It is attainable. When I opened that business I left for Tahiti with no way to reach me after 3 weeks. When I came back everything was running just fine. In those 30 years I also learned how to hire. Check out my article on hiring your first employee. Great wisdom Dike.

General Note:
When an event is scheduled for a specific number of participants, and you sign up for that event, whether Biznik or any meeting, it is unprofessional not to communicate your inability to be there.
On Monday, November 10, at the Business Round Table, I had 6 professionals who were waiting to come in the event of a cancellation. However, we continued to show FULL on the events page, with no communication by those who did not show up.
It is a simple professional courtesy in the market place to call or to indicate that you will be late or cancel your RSVP.
In business it is imperative to keep your word so that other business professionals have a desire to refer you or to connect with your business.
Due to the lack of communication and no shows for the event, I am requesting that those individuals delete their RSVP's for any future Monday Round Tables that I am hosting so that some of the 8 individuals who are on the current waiting list can be included.
Thank you. Sincerely, Jack Fecker
Howard, can't make your event today as I am going to be at the event at the public library at 12:30 with Liam Brown. See you next time.
Jack
John,
We have been full for 2 weeks now and have quite a waiting list for this event. I suggest you watch for when I will do this again in Seattle. I'm looking for a place to hold it. If I allow more than 12 it is to difficult for every one to be heard and to get feed back. I hope you understand.
Jack
Couldn't have happened to two nicer people. We are in a new age where integrety pays off and competition is being replaced by cooperation. We all need each other even if we are in the same business. In any business if the foundation is built with concrete and rebar the rest will stand the test of time. Dan and Laura you have created a long lasting building.
Congratulations, Jack
Thanks all of you. Over the years I have probably lost or it cost me over one million dollars by not following what I have written. When I needed someone in a hurry or when the first person looked really good I made the mistake of saying yes when it should have been no or I'll get back to you in a couple days. I believe the word is patience. Watch for my next article.
Jack
Howard, you did an amazing job of timing to get everyone heard. This event ended on time thanks to you. Every month you get better. Thanks for the work you put into this event. And thanks for the plug at the start of my one minute. It sure made it easier.
Jack
Thanks all of you. I had a great time writing this as it brought back so many good memories. The hardest part was pairing it down to under 1500 words. It still all gets down to energy. Does this persons energy match up with mine? This part is hard to teach as it is such an unknown. It's like trying to explain electricity.
Iv'e been waiting for this revolution for 25 years. Please read the book by Daniel Pink "A whole New Mind". I now have read it three times and it is just what your talking about. It is a great feeling to know that I am not alone in what I am attepting to do for the rest of my life. I have created over 20 businesses starting from nothing and thought this was normal. According to your article it will become the norm. Thanks for writing such an informative piece. Another creative mind. Jack Fecker
What a great evening! And each of you who attended...and friends...brought an incredible dimension to this time.
We look forward to many more ~
Warm Regards, Jane and Jack
Howard,
Very good meeting however I have some comments. First of all we should end at 2:00 no matter what. If the speaker has more to offer it would be better to leave them wanting more and to come to the next meeting. Make an announcement about cell phones in the beginning. People dropping in without a RSVP should not be able to speak as this is not fair to the ones that follow the rules. This part is getting out of hand. Some just come to promote thier thing and then bug out. Suppoting all the others means to be there for the 3 hous. More to come later. All in all you run a very professonal meeting
Larry Swanson ..we'll see you next time...enjoy time with your mom.
David...so glad you can be with us...we miss you!
Regards, Jane and Jack
We thought it better to start this an hour earlier being it is a Sunday, and some need to retire earlier for early Monday mornings....so we'll begin at 4:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Will change the event posting. Jack
Bob and Judy ~ We will miss you...next time! Kind Regards, Jack and Jane
We have just been notified that Biznik will not allow 'Villa Rosa' retreat center to be a networking/event venue...so this will be the last formal Biznik event here...hope many of you can make it!
Regards, Jack and Jane
Yeah! So glad you guys can come! Jane and Jack
This is a great workshop Howard and I agree with Richard. Everyone should go to this as we are told when growing up not to brag or praise ourselves. That is one big bad myth to put in our past.
Jack
Howard,
I believe this will be my 7th Round Table. Anyone who is thinking of creating a book should by all means attend every meeting. Looking forward to another great meeting.
Jack
Fran, This is a good start for most people. I try to get people to focus on thier 100th birthday and what did they accomplish? Most people or almost all people can't do this. Your idea of 3 years I believe most people can do. This gives folks something to focus on instead of worrying about thier next job or paycheck.
Keep up the good work, Jack
Bob ~ Thanks for thinking of us...sorry we missed out...we'll get it the next round. (Thanks, Valerie!) Regards, Jack and Jane
We just saw this...and are seriously thinking about it...but see you are full up. Let us know if you can handle two more....or if there are any cancellations. We would love to carpool with folks...we need a vacation!
Regards, Jack and Jane
Way to go Lisa. I started a mastermind group back in the early 80's and it went on for years. Was one of the best things I did. I'm so glad your bringing this form of focus to Biznik. It looks like it is hughly successful already. Good luck
Jack
It was a pleasure meeting you today at lunch. I'm not much for advertising but once I put and ad in the Seattle Times giving away a loaf of bread if they brought the ad to my restaurant and had dinner. It was called THE BREADLINE RESTAURANT so it was a great selling tool and taught me a wonderful lesson. That was to give every customer that came to my business something that they didn't expect. Iv'e been doing this ever since 1974. I love promotins so I guess this would be considerd a marketing promotion.....Jack
