I am a former residential contractor who now owns a retail plant and patio store in Seattle's Central Area.

What started as an idea for selling container gardens at a farmer's market has now become a full-time retail endeavor! Envy is primarily a destination for tropical plants, but we also offer a variety of indoor and outdoor plant and landscaping options for the gardening pro and the 'who stole my green thumb???' wannabes.

We are looking for some help in the online arena. Our web site and blog are pretty basic (read: boring!) but we don't have the huge budget that would appeal to most designers and SEO/SEM specialists. Ideally we could find a good partner who would create a 3-6 month plan for our site and have us pay as we go. Someone local to Seattle is preferred, experience in e-tailing is also a plus.

Partnerships are always welcome. If you are a landscape designer, real estate agent, or find yourself in a spot where working with a licensed retail nursery makes sense then I'd love to hear from you! I'd also like to invite artists who are interested in possibly showing your work at the store.

How does one go from a degree in music (trombone anyone?!?) to a career in construction, then to owning a tropical plant store in Seattle?

Owning a retail store is a new venture for me.
