New to biznik, old on the Web, cranky sometimes
Greetings everyone! I started a Web biz in 1998--beadsbymail.com, where you can learn a whole lot about beading, jewelry, gemstones, and even purchase beads for making your own, as well as wonderful fashion jewelry by Kenneth Jay Lane,-- and have slowly been running it into the ground ... or is the frightening recent lack of orders a result of the economy? Never mind, the recent poor performance of my biz, beadsbymail.com, has motivated me to explore all sorts of SEO and social networking possibilities. Also, publishing videos on my site and on Youtube seems like a great way to get some buzz going. After a few weeks I have yet to succeed in video editing. I have however been repurposing my fascinating newsletters (on arcane topics like myths about turquoise, animal poaching for profit, Girl Scout Activities involving tracking wolves) into articles that I am publishing on ezinearticles.com, as well as other such sites that are out there. Ezine emailed me to tell me that they named me an "expert" author. I was floating on air until I looked into their list of "experts". Well, almost everyone who submits an article seems to be in the expert list. Why not, I say, feeling rather deflated. I also invested a good chunk of time in learning Wordpress to write a blog. But that's only half the job. I need to publicize my blog somehow. Wonder how? Spent the summer housebound after 2 surgeries on my left leg. The garden, totally neglected, looks not bad.
