As a massage therapist, I offer two things to my clients: an opportunity to relax, de-stress and unwind and an opportunity to reduce or eliminate pain.
Massage is not a one size fits all approach. The process begins by listening to determine a client's specific needs and wants, designing a massage tailor-made for them, executing it and checking in throughout the process.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking massage is only about pain. Many people feel they only need it when they are "in pain." However, in truth, pain is often lying in wait and will make an appearance if they don't take care of themselves. Regular tension and stress produce tight muscles, and tight muscles do not allow as much needed blood and circulation as muscles need. Therefore, muscles do not get the energy and nutrients they need to stay healthy. Ultimately, tight muscles weaken, tighten up further and a viscous cycle begins, overtime making muscles more prone to injury. Even if you're not in pain now, your muscles need nourishment and regular care.
I truly believe in the power of massage. It can simply help you relax or the changes can be even more transformational! Many of my clients say that massage has helped them reclaim their health and their life. Here are just a few success stories...
Jeannie injured her shoulder carrying her now teenaged daughter around in a baby carrier. For seventeen years she suffered from numbing shoulder pain from neck to fingertips. The pain also made it difficult to sleep. She said massage made a huge difference in her life and after just a few sessions she felt like a new woman! She's still a client.
Christina came to me in severe back pain. She'd injured her back while gardening and had been suffering for 18 months. She told me that many mornings the pain was so bad she had to crawl out of bed. After just three sessions, she said "I have my life back, and it's great!" So great, that she sees me on a regular basis to stay that way.
While shoveling snow, Jesse injured his back. He came to me in severe back pain and was very discouraged. He was in his early twenties and was afraid he'd be in pain for the rest of his life. After a few sessions, he was singing a different tune. With continued treatment, he's now back to playing basketball, riding his motorcycle and walking his dogs.
