  My employer went out of business in February. I updated my résumé and began the job search. Four months later, I hadn’t even been offered an interview. Maybe it was my résumé…

  I had heard about professional résumé writers and did a little investigation. Man, were they ever expensive! I’d been unemployed for four months, with only a few contract jobs in between unemployment checks. Could I really afford to spend the money?
