Online social/business networking

Hi all -

NPR's Talk of the Nation had a program today about online social networks - and how useful they can be (once the superficiality barrier is overcome).

It made me wonder how much you use online networks like Biznik and how important they are to your business. Do you see any drawbacks?

Hi!

Well, thanks to my friend Mark Silver, I'm pleased to be making your aquaintence.

Frankly, I'm really looking forward to business networking that doesn't suck. I've received a frightening number of LeTip invitations lately - and pep rallies just aren't my scene.

I've been doing real estate staging for 2 years (in the Salem/Corvallis/Stayton areas) and started a sister business early this year doing office redesign and organizing. I'm having a blast.

If you're a scattered solo-preneur who works from home, I'd love to hear from you. Venting welcome - especially about your challenges and minor irritations.
