  • WildFires are Raging in So Cal..lessons to be learned

1 - It can happen to you

    2 - Backup your business-critical data now!

Fires are raging, buildings & homes are being destroyed and maybe business lives, as well. "Among companies that lose data in a disaster, 50% never re-open and 90% are out of business within 2 years" (SBA July 2006)

Just imagine what would happen if you lost all of your data overnight..receivables, payables, contacts, employee records. Your data IS your business! Our Remote Backup services will ensure that if you suffer a data loss due to natural disaster or just HD failure, you'll be able to restore that data, on-demand, to any location in the world with an internet connection.

It's as simple as downloading a small software client and configuring..about 15 minutes. Remote Backup works automatically, on a pre-arranged schedule to back-up your data, encrypt it and transmit it for safe storage in our data center at 1 Wilshire, in downtown L.A. A duplicate is also stored on another server located in Las Vegas, just in case.

We're offering a 15 Day Free Trial to all Biznik members so that you can see for yourself how it works. Learn more at http://southbaynetwork.com/rbackup.htm

  • Web Hosting/Internet Specialist

    Hello All:

Earlier today, I was researching a topic on Google, and followed a link to biznik. I nearly clicked-off without looking around, but spent some time exploring and, by gotcha, ended up registering, so here I am.

Like many of you, I too have "made the rounds" to various networking groups here in the southbay (area between LAX & San Pedro) but it started to feel too much like a job getting up at 5AM to make a 7AM meeting. Besides, I have east coast and mid west clients and invariably I would get phone calls from frantic users, while I was at the meeting.

I run a small web hosting company, called SouthBay Network. I ran a search on the biznik membership and didn't see any other hosting providers, so perhaps I can be of assistance if any of you have questions about hosting, email problems, DNS, Domain Registrations, etc. I will more than happy to lend a hand, if I can.

Am looking forward to getting to know, at least some of you good folk, and who knows, maybe we'll do some business.

PS: I don't build websites and notice that there are many web designers & builders in the group, so hope to be able to make a referral or two.
