Tennessee native Jesse Gilliland is an avid Volunteers football fan with a passion for property and the pigskin. Jesse grew up in Madison, Tennessee, and later studied Education at the University of Tennessee. After he received his Bachelor's degree in 1980, Jesse Gilliland began to develop his career as a professional real estate appraiser. Beginning with an appraisal position for Davidson County in Nashville, Jesse Gilliland began to learn the ins and outs of real estate, and how valuation is performed on any particular piece of property. Over the next decade, Jesse Gilliland honed his craft as a staff appraiser for the Tennessee Public Service Commission, Leader Federal Bank and The Bank of Boston.

Jesse Gilliland founded his own private real estate appraisal enterprise in 1987, taking the best of what he had learned and offering appraisal services to mortgage companies and banks for lending purposes. Today Gilliland & Associates performs numerous evaluations annually, helping individual investors and governmental agencies properly gauge the worth of Single Family Detached Dwellings, Condominiums, and Planned Unit Developments. Gilliland & Associates, headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, operates in Davidson, Robertson, Sumner, Wilson, Rutherford, Williamson, Cheatham, Dickson, Maury and Marshall Counties.

Jesse Gilliland is a Member of the National Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors. In addition to his formal secondary education at the University of Tennessee, Jesse Gilliland has taken numerous practical education courses in real estate appraisal from organizations which include The Appraisal Institute, the old Society of Real Estate Appraisers, the International Association of Assessing Officers, Columbia Institute and others.
