  • Afternoon Networking ?'s

Hey All, Awhile ago there was some discussion about having a daytime "Happy Hour" or "Coffee Clache" type networking event for all those Biznik's that evenings are their prime client meeting time. I volunteered to organize it but with life and work getting in the way never got around to it.

Well I found a location that I really like and think would work well but now I just need to pick a day and time...

    So here are my questions.

    1. Are you interested in daytime networking?
    2. If so what time of day- Late Morning(sorry I don't do early mornings as those are reserved for my son), Lunch, or Afternoon?
    3. Do you have preferred day of the week?

Any answers will be helpful. I want to get this on the calendar with in a week.

    Thanks, Jessica Hale

  • Looking for Donations

Hi, I am the posting this for two events... And would love any assistance with either! Thanks!

    1. My sons school auction is coming up and we are looking for donations. He attends a public school called TOPS. This auction raises the money to pay for the Art teacher and program, Science equipment, library books, Music programs, Computer Equipment, Drama Program, and more. All of these items are no longer publicly funded so we have to pay for them ourselves. Any donations of auction items would greatly be appreciated.

    2. I am the logistics chair for Washington CASH's annual fundraising Gala. This is a great organization that does Small business training and Micro-credit lending for mainly women from low income backgrounds here in Washington state. This is a great organization theat is helping to end poverty one person at a time- Self Sufficiency through Self Employment. What I need for it are just a few pretty nice incentive prizes like a nice restaurant Gift Cert, or if anyone has a few day condo stay somewhere close by or anything else of similar caliber- a beutiful wine basket or something

  • What Financial Subjects Do You Want To Learn About?

Hi All, I have had requests for another class and I am interested in what subjects people would be interested in. Some examples would be:

    Financial Planning for Small Businesses,

Employee Benefits- Retirement Plans, Insurance Benefits etc,

a specific one on Retirement Plans- Which One is the Best Fit For Me,

    The Basics of Investing,

Basic Financial Mistakes People Make and How to Avoid Them

Personal Financial Planning- Do I Need a Plan?

The Global Economy and Investing in it

These are just some ideas... What type of information do you want to learn about the most? I could do a series- starting with the basics and then moving into more detailed information on specific topics in later classes... I want to make these classes as useful to you as possible.

    Thanks for any input!

  • Looking for a Speaker

Hi, I volunteer for a group called Washington CASH- www.washingtoncash.org. They do small business training and micro-credit lending for people from low income backgrounds here in Washington State. Their motto is "Ending poverty one person at a time- Self sufficiency through self employment".

Currently I am the logistics chair for their big annual fundraising dinner which will be in May. This is an "ask" event and we are looking to raise $100K. We need to find a speaker for the event. Someone who is a recognizable name, maybe in the local business community, or a celebrity who supports micro credit or..... We'd like to keep it non-political. Any suggestions???

Thanks for any ideas or thoughts! Best Regards,

I was wondered if there were any topics that you really want to hear about? What are your most pressing concerns and what are you most interested in learning about. Keep in mind that I can do a series if people want more in depth info on a specific topic. Thanks, Jessica __ Jessica Hale Financial Advisor
