Elizabeth, I would be happy to do a needs analysis and look around for the best product out there if you want. Even if in the end you don't end up using me it is smart to look at all your options. Thank you Lara for the good word and thanks to Beth Cosker who alerted me about this topic. Hope everyone had a great weekend and Monday! Jessica

Or are you "really" taking off of work???
Technically speaking networking is work related and for many a necessary component of their business. Thus it could be classified as work. Right??!! ;)

Posted Jul 26, 2007 Location Location Location. Suggestions for Biznik Events? by Leif Hansen
Uptown Espresso in Belltown on 4th has a decent back room that you can reserve. I've also offered my conference room at my office in the past for other Biznik events. It is a big round table with seating for 10 around the table (roomily-is that a word?)with another10-15 lining the walls. Probably better for class type events.

I talked to the location and they are thrilled. How does Friday August 3rd or Friday August 10th from 2-6 sound?

Posted Jul 14, 2007 Feeling excluded from all the networking events and workshops by Krisha CatZen
I posted this in the general discussion but thought I would also post it in the original thread as well. I have talked to the owner and think that either Friday August 3rd or Friday August 10th from 2-6 would be good unless a Thursday would be better. Any thoughts? Jessica
Hey All, Awhile ago there was some discussion about having a daytime "Happy Hour" or "Coffee Clache" type networking event for all those Biznik's that evenings are their prime client meeting time. I volunteered to organize it but with life and work getting in the way never got around to it.
Well I found a location that I really like and think would work well but now I just need to pick a day and time...
So here are my questions.
Are you interested in daytime networking? If so what time of day- Late Morning(sorry I don't do early mornings as those are reserved for my son), Lunch, or Afternoon? Do you have preferred day of the week? Any answers will be helpful. I want to get this on the calendar with in a week.
Thanks, Jessica Hale

Posted Jul 13, 2007 Everyone Needs A Pool by Sterling Peake
Get craniosacral massage. Biznik Sierra Kennedy managed to shut my brain down with it (a mighty feat indeed) a few weeks ago. It was amazing! My brain is similar to yours in that it is always running a million miles a minute. I was really nice to just think of nothing- I don't think I had gone to that level of quiet and serenity in years. Other activities that I do would be dancing, rollerblading, hiking, and other intense physical activities- they make me stop thinking about everything else but them but I wouldn't call them serene. Also I do lose myself in books. And don't forget the simple pleasure of rough housing with my son or laughing with my boyfriend and friends- but again not really quiet or serene.
That is cool that you have found an amazing way to relax and that it was as simple as a pool. Yay!

Posted Jul 13, 2007 Do you use a business credit card or a consumer cc for your business? by Lara Eve Feltin
Having a business CC (Amex business is a good one) is really good not just for all the reasons listed prior... easy to track expenses- record keeping, moderate cash flow in times of "cash crunches", other perks/discounts but also having it in your business name builds credit for your business and further separates your personal and business finances. Building your business credit is important for all the same reasons it is important to have good personal credit and it is important and good to separate your business and personal finances as much as possible. So you don't unknowingly put your personal house at risk or other things. If you want to go more in depth on this let me know.
