  • EXCEL expert?

I imported a cell into EXCEL that says:

    '726 followed by two spaces

I want to convert it to represent the value 726. I'm pretty good in EXCEL but can't find the way to trim the two spaces and convert the text to a value.

If you know how, share your response here publicly to help me, and to show the Biznik community that you're the go-to person for EXCEL projects.

    Thanks!

  • BizJam 2008

Having joined in October 2007, I missed BizJam and hope there will be one in 2008.

Me, I'd like to see: - Barry Hurd share some SEO and social networking tips, - Rachel get somebody 'unstuck,' - The Life Changer change someone's life with better credit, - and Erin show us some basic HTML tricks.

And, if invited, I'd love to be on a marketing panel with the branding revolutionist, the word-of-mouth marketer, and Mr. Moneyfingers himself, Chris Haddad.

How about you? What would you like to see?

  • Burning DVDs for $

I need someone to burn high-quality, self-launching DVDs.

If it's you, we need high-quality art on the face, and the DVD in a simple clam shell case.

Contact me with pricing and timing. Two-week turnaround, if possible.

  • Doggie door

We want to put in a doggie door.

Surely we have a Doggie Door Specialist in our Biznik midst.
If it's you, or you can introduce me, that'd be great.

  • Techie question

My Microsoft XT Home Edition operating system on my computer has locked me out.

I have it password protected. It asks for my password, I type it, it tells me I'm wrong.

It's circular and I don't know how to get past it. Any ideas?

  • Scottsdale video + photographer

My company is looking to hire a local videographer/photographer to capture our Global Sales Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ between Feb 20-24.

We don't have a budget to pay for travel or lodging during the shoot, so if you know someone locally that you've worked with or recommend, please let me know.

    Thanks! Joe

  • I NEED A DESIGNER!

A five-figure budget for months of Cardiac Science work.

Probably best for a junior designer -- we're introducing a new brand look and our ENTIRE collateral portfolio has to be redone. You'd need to be on site in Bothell, WA five days a week, 8-5.

If interested, post your portfolio link here before Christmas.

Full disclosure: my graphic designer is using "more traditional" means to recruit as well. Act fast!

  • Who loves Biznik most?

Dan challenged us to welcome another thousand members before December 25. We can do that by the 24th!

I'll throw in two free hours of my time to work on your business strategy to whomever invites the most new members between now and then.

And if no one can top my new member count, I'll take a nice two-hour nap during the holidays instead.

So, who's up for a little competition?!

  • If you could get the answer...

... to any business question you have, for free, what would you ask?

Include a trade/barter pitch for yourself here, if you like.

  • Maddening Internet connection

I'm at the "I'll pay anything" point to have a reliable and fast Internet connection.

We live in Woodinville and are blessed(?) with tall trees everywhere. We've had Comcast cable and just started with Clearwire two weeks ago. Both routinely take breaks in the middle of something important and I have to unplug, reset, you-get-the-picture.

Anyone out there have a better solution? Drilling holes in walls and other multi-thousand-dollar solutions are fair game.

And, of course, if you or someone you know can help, let us Bizniks know.

I have an four year-old Dell Inspiron and can't get the operating system (Windows 2000) to boot up long enough for me to retrieve some family photos.

Make it work and I'll reciprocate in kind with marketing ideas for your business. Any takers?

  • Credit for new members

I zealously promote Biznik and wonder if there is any way to get credit for "invited members" who join without clicking on the link I sent them.
