  • Cigars for the Troops

I don't know if anyone is a cigar smoker, but I recently built a site for a new smoking lounge called, "Broadway Cigar." They are starting a program where you can donate cigars to be shipped to Armed Forces members stationed in the Gulf and Afganistan. One of their avid customers is a vet and I think that he's going to be the link to the deployed troops, but last I talked to Jason(the owner), they were still figuring out how to implement it. I think that they were planning on some sort of lottery for people who donated cigars. If this is something that interests you, swing by the store, or email me and I can put you in contact with Jason.

  • Getting Things Done?

GTD has been rolling around the Internet for awhile and I'm sure that there are many Bizniks out there that have had some experience with it. I've been aware of it, but I hadn't looked into it until I browsed through David Allen's book this weekend in a bookstore. For people who have tried it, I'm curious what your experience has been? What principle or technique had the most impact?

  • Story Based Marketing in the Internet Age

I've read and heard a lot of marketing advice about telling a story when presenting your business as a means of generating interest and rapport with your audience. As an avid writer, this approach appeals to me, but on the web I'm not sure how well it translates. I.e. "You have three seconds to capture your viewer's attention before they bounce on to another site-- probably your competitors."

What do all you e-marketers think?
