"Sales." Some people think it's a 4-letter word, and it was no different for Joyce, starting out. In fact, she stayed in a position she had outgrown for over a year because of her apprehension when it came to sales. When she did decide to go for it, she became intimidated and confused by the idea of sales and marketing, and ended up going through all sorts of programs, reading a number of books, and listening to a variety of experts on the topic. It seemed like the experts had conflicting ideas! At the height of her frustration, she started to recognize sales for what it really is.

Sales is something we all engage in every day, whether it's getting kids to eat vegetables, inviting someone on a date, or even persuading our parents to let us have something as children. It's an opportunity to help someone resolve a problem or achieve a goal. And it's a way to offer a contribution doing what, hopefully, you love to do and are passionate about. When you are passionate about what you do, or at least why you are doing it, people will naturally want to work with you. And Joyce is passionate about helping people with sales and marketing, but not just traditional sales and marketing - she specializes in EMPOWERING sales and marketing.
