What did you learn most from marketing in your business for 2009?

Hi all!

This year has been once heck of a ride! There have been so many ups and downs for so many that I've had such a genuine experience learning, sharing and valuing the hardships and challenges many have had in a variety of industries when it came to marketing this year. In this post I'm encouraging you to share a quick tip you might have learned this year, or a specific marketing practice that treated you and your business well.

What's YOUR Favorite Daily or Weekly Goal-Setting Activity

Hey everyone!

As my inaugural post/discussion for this group I thought I would start with what I start with every other morning to keep myself on task and focused, and more importantly..prioritized! So thought maybe a few of us might toss out some ideas on Goal-Setting and the steps, styles, etc you utilize to keep YOU 'On-task', focused for the most important accomplishments to come.

Here's my style of keeping myself organized on a daily basis: 1) Continue to write on separate pieces of paper the tasks I need to accomplish daily or every other day keeping them in a folder marked 'current business' 2) Incorporate these notes into ONE sheet of paper itemized and placed in order of priority if possible 3) Re-write and consolidate lists every 4-5 days or as needed 4) Repeat

Long-term goals At least once per month I will find a coffeeshop, diner or even a park and take some time to myself to really identify where I'm headed in the next 6months, 1 year and 5 years with my personal health and professional life. Around 2002 is when I found that taking this time to look into yourself was HIGHLY beneficial and has led me to accomplish some pretty 'cool' things over the past seven years.
