What Julie does
What's going to happen to the kids? I've heard that Washington is a community property state, but what does that really mean? What are my rights? These are the types of questions I answer on a daily basis. As a family law attorney, my clients are people who are contemplating divorce, have been served papers or need help with post-divorce matters. I offer one-time consults and full-service representation for the following matters:
Parenting Plans
Relocations
Child Support
Spousal Maintenance
Property Division
Contempt Motions
Modifications
My main office is in Bellevue, but I also have office space in downtown Seattle or Bothell.
What Julie does best
My professional focus is on dissolutions involving high conflict parenting plan disputes. I am the lawyer who "gets it" and can help you navigate the craziness. I balance the rest of my practice with family law issues involving the "usual" level of conflict. Sometimes I even just help a client draft the correct paperwork to start or finish a divorce.
I offer solutions by listening to your story and creating an appropriate strategy. The divorce process can be overwhelming. You need to understand your legal rights and the process to make solid choices and have realistic expectations. I believe that communication and preparation are keys to successully getting through a divorce. I return phone calls and, in return, I expect clients to be equally committed to their cases. The goal always is to get your case settled efficiently and on the best possible terms. However, when court intervention is necessary (either on an initial temporary motion or a trial), you can feel confident that I will advocate your position to the court in a focused and effective manner.
What does Julie need?
I would like suggestions on venues where I could speak to small groups in Seattle or the Eastside about the divorce process, 2009 child support legislation changes, etc. I also would like to continue meeting people who could be part of my client's team: therapist, financial planner, CPA, mortgage broker and vocational counselor.
