  • "Wealth of an Ordinary Life" Workshop discounted for Biznikers

I'm teaching a comprehensive workshop on financial health through the University of Washington Experimental College. To say it's 'in depth' is an understatement: we'll be working with a number of professionals including a psychotherapist who will help you wrestle with those stories you have about money.

    Here's the official description:

This workshop is designed to help you make a significant shift in your relationship to money. In addition to teaching you the essential tools needed to manage your finances, the comprehensive curriculum will help you explore and understand the emotional elements that build a realistic and sustainable financial plan. Topics covered include the psychology of money, risk management, cash flow, savings, investing, retirement planning and home ownership. If you're in a relationship, both partners are strongly encouraged to attend.

    Sec 1: Sat 4 pm – 7 pm 11/17 Sun 10 am – 5 pm 11/18

    West Seattle

AND Biznikers will receive a 50% discount on the $85 tuition... and partners will receive a 75% discount (that's how important it is to work on your money issues together if you're in a relationship!). You still have to pay UW Exp. College their regular registration fee, but you'll pay the discounted tuition to me directly.

If you're interested, intrigued, or highly motivated, contact the UW Experimental College to sign up.

    Best

  • Looking for teachers / facilitators

My partner, Kat Allen and I are opening up the Four Aims Center in West Seattle. It will be my second office as a Financial Advisor (my main office is in Fremont) and Kat's office and studio for her psychotherapy practice and yoga classes. But we're also interested in having other folks come and teach classes and workshops there.

The 'four aims' refer to the elements of life that the Vedic scriptures pointed towards as essential to living a balanced life: health, wealth, relationships, and a spiritual practice. So any topics that fall under those headings could be appropriate. For a better feel of the Center, go to www.fouraims.com. We prefer those living in West Seattle (trying to build a community out here) but aren't strict about that. Call me at 324-0891 and we can chat more about the possibilities.

Also, the Center is having its Open House this Sunday from 2:30-4:30 with a free yoga restorative class afterwards (need to sign up for that). If you're interested in attending, you can get our address from the website.
