Karen Bowman & Associates, Inc. provides occupational and environmental health consulting to the global community. The company has been in business since 2003 and has a dual focus: (1) Occupational Health: The firm designs and implements cost effective, sustainable solutions that improve the human environment and enhance health and safety on the jobsite, while improving compliance with state, federal and international laws. Karen focuses on health and wellness, reducing injury/illness and time-loss, while improving profit, productivity, job satisfaction and retention. (2) Sustainability and Environmental Health. Protecting and improving the human environment by educating nursing cultures, legislators, corporate clients and families on environmental health principles and how they may engage in reducing their environmental footprint.

Karen graduated from the University of Washington's School of Nursing with an Advanced Practice Community Health Nursing Masters degree with a special focus in occupational and environmental health in 2004. She's been boarded as an occupational health nurse specialist since 1994.
