  • Looking for hair/makeup artists willing to trade for photos or ?

I am still working on my December First Thursday show and am looking for hair/makeup artists with a theatrical bent who are willing to work for trade - for photos, copywriting or my other creative talents.

I have several shoots scheduled this week that have a dark, edgy theme - some gothic, some Japanese punk, etc.

Do you need these types of images in your book? Do you know someone who does? Have them contact me ASAP!

Besides my role as photographer, I am also now curating shows for a new studio in 619 Western. Looking for artists for upcoming months. Please email me at karen@courtneylemarco.net with ONE attachment of one of your best images and a link to an online portfolio. I am hoping to get back to everyone but if I get a deluge of submissions, the responses may be delayed.

  • Looking for visual/performing/other artists to share space

I recently discovered that my previous studio space landlord has another space open and am looking for five or six other people to join me. The ideal tenants would be part-time users of the space, rather than someone who needs to create there frequently. (Basically, people whose art creation is either part-time or those who have other venues for creation). Depending on how many people are involved, the space would probably run about $120/person. Beyond scheduling, I am just looking for people who are respectful of the space, other tenants (and their things) and perhaps most importantly, paying their portion of the rent on time. Because I am a photographer who needs my space to remain very clean-looking and professional, I am looking for other artists whose pursuits would coincide with that need. The space is available now and I leave for NZ in 6 days, so I am looking to pull together a crew of other artists ASAP while this is still available. Call me at 206.734.3032 if you're interested, as sometimes my Biznik emails get a delayed response. The space is located in Pioneer Square and offers high visibility during Art Walks.

  • Free tickets for this weekend's Millionaire Mind Intensive in Vancouver, BC

This time I'm not promoting my own business, but something that's been instrumental in its success. Full tuition for this program is $1295, but I have ten ticket vouchers that will get you in for free. This program was life-changing for me in terms of changing my money perspectives for the better and reminding me that frequently, the only real barriers to success are self-imposed. The Vancouver program starts on Friday morning. And if you can't get to Vancouver, these vouchers are good for any location. I am in Seattle through Wednesday or Thursday, then off to Portland, so you can either arrange for pickup or have me send you the details via snailmail or email.

  • Should small business owners file taxes jointly with their spouses?

I am filing with TurboTax and this is my first year as a married person. And the tax pro chat option isn't available at the moment on the TurboTax site. Could accountants and/or other business owners advise me as to the potential benefits and downfalls of filing jointly? My husband is not a partner in the business. Is joint filing good for me? Him? Both? Neither?

  • WANTED: Online marketing expertise OFFERED: Portrait session

Though I've worked in online advertising as a copywriter and keywording consultant, I don't have expertise in assessing online advertising packages in terms of numbers, i.e. projected increases in site traffic, queries and/or sales from a given promotion. I am looking at a few different online advertising options and giving a free portrait session to the person who has expertise and an hour to help me assess my options. Email or call if you're that guru!

  • Has anyone worked on multimedia public art projects?

I have some very-rough concepts in mind but don't know how to find collaborators who can help with the functional logistics of creating a public art project. The primary issues are probably carpentry and/or electrical concerns. If you've worked on a project like this - or have these skills and want to collaborate - please offer pointers! For me, the concept and the RFP are probably the easiest parts, as long as I have someone to help out with the functional areas about which I am relatively clueless.
