Turns out I won't be back from a trip but looking forward to the October version!
I, too, am interested in future workshops but will be heading out of town that afternoon.
Unfortunately, going into August is my busiest time of the year. It's next to impossible for me to break away three hours in the middle of the day. But I'll look forward to this if you hold it again in mid-September or after!
Kirk indeed is the man when it comes to getting VIP deals for Biznikers! I'll look forward to his next event. (More motocross would be good - hint, hint).
I used to create search advertising copy and keyword lists in my past life ;-) I am going to jump past your list and tell you what resonates with me based on my professional SEO experience and a very quick review of your site:
I haven't tested all these for pricing or traffic. But honestly, a lot of your other keywords are ones that everyone uses. I think you need to focus on your knowledge of your geographic region plus your expertise in the big marketing picture and maintenance, because I've heard from a number of people who get design work done and then their designer falls off the face of the earth - with all their login information. This actually recently happened to one of my competitors.
I might include small business Web design, affordable Web design and custom Web design if the price was right. But you might want to use geographically-specific phrases there too.
Anyone heading to the event from the Redmond-ish area who has room for a carpooler? I wouldn't need a ride back, just there.
Daryl, you sound like fun! (Not that the rest of you don't). Which punk bar? Two of my quirkiest and funnest — yes, I know that's poor English usage but it works well anyway — gigs were:
Sounds like a great workshop! Hoping you'll hold another and I'll see the announcement before it's full next time!
I'm booked this Thursday, so I'll hope that you have another workshop soon!
This is exactly the workshop I need - but getting away for two hours midday is currently a bit of a challenge. Consider having another one in the evening?
I would love to go but evenings are more realistic for me. Any chance of a future meeting in the evening? Monday nights would be perfect.
I just rescheduled for the June 10 event in Wallingford, so hopefully one of the waiting list people can grab my spot for this one!
I haven't met him but I saw one guy (maybe the same one) hitting the jumps at the Colonnade bike park, then pedalling with his one leg all the way back up the hill when everyone else was pushing their bikes. Talk about no excuses!
Good luck with your interview and Flaxmonger and your possible relocation! I would love to try your products! I have not yet relocated my business but I plan to move to Canada in the future. All my research shows that you will have to get a separate work visa to also pursue your business — unless you get a skilled worker visa for your day job instead of being sponsored by your employer. Immigration Canada will be your best resource.
Excellent! I just spent 3 incredible days at the Millionaire Mind Intensive starting to learn about my money myths and other obstacles to success. And I'm ready to learn more! Thank you!
If I had to choose just one, commercial photography. If I could choose two, I'd add editorial photography. And my third would be extreme sports photography.
Woohoo! Changed my Biznik wording and now I'm Number One for "Seattle extreme sports photographer." Biznik is indeed worth ever penny - and then some!
Now we just need to plan a Biznik event for the motocross nationals at Washougal ;-) Thanks, Kirk, for a fabulous day!
I just cancelled as I'm heading out of town but I'll be looking for your next workshop!
I recently attended a meeting catered by That Brown Girl Catering. Fabulous food, including lots of vegetarian options. Check with Kristi to see about her capabilities for a big event.
Great idea! I'm not a designer but typography was one of my favorite classes in art school and I still love looking for fabulous new fonts!
I would love to attend but I'm out of town - please host another event like this!
I have been really happy with Group Health Credit Union. Convenient location, plus they have shared branches so that you can use other credit unions if you're traveling or just not near your usual branch. Plus they offer easy online banking and transfers.
Justin's idea is fabulous. And Broadtexter could work if it was permission-based. Some people love text messages, so it would be a great messaging tool to reach them. I hate text messages and only use them when I'm out of the country for very short messages, to avoid roaming charges. (Or maybe for Justin's service). So I wouldn't be one of those target audience members for text advertising ;-)
