I was stuck in a professional box that I wanted to break out of, but was unable to find the opening to do so. A series of life events made me realize "it is now or never" and I began to look around for ways to get more clarity and inspiration. I had The Artist's Way book on my shelf collecting dust for years, but finally got inspired (or desperate enough) to open it up. The material in this book was clearly the opening that allowed me to see new desires and options that heretofore had been hidden.
Gin Hammond and I are excited to share this material with others and help them find their own answers to a more satisfying and enriching professional and personal life.

One past student, Jenness Klein wrote about how the process of getting in touch with her creative side enhanced her life and that of her colleagues:
“We all have our own reasons for holding back, for staying blocked. Maybe it’s a fear of how we’ll be perceived, of judgment, of looking foolish. Maybe it’s a fear of actually succeeding in what we love to do, of now being responsible for our art. For whatever reason we do these things… we do them. This class helped me to identify when I block myself, why I do it and gave me tools to work through these moments …. Each person came into this with his/her own intention but all of us in some way were looking to unblock or unleash the part of us that wants to flourish as artists and as people.”

Kate Gavigan is passionate about The Artist's Way having personally experienced the benefits of the materials. Kate worked in social services for over 10 years when she found herself drawn to the material in The Artist's Way which helped her uncover a passion for theatre and marketing the arts. She credits her mid-life career change (now working at her dream job as Freehold's PR Manager) to having gone through The Artist's Way book. [less]
