GLOW at Thanksgiving, you've found the perfect Hostess gift

Posted May 09, 2008.

A $25, 250 million year old lamp, now THAT is perfect for your Thanksgiving table. Your family will relax with these healing lamps, since they give off negative ions, like the feeling after a rain. Himalayan Salt lamps literally glow with a mysterious and calming red, orange, pink or white light.

The small lamp is great for an office and offsets the positive ions created by your computer. Transform your office easily; or get a large lamp for the entire house for $130. Science aside, the glow is welcoming and calming. The room feels more alive with a salt lamp.

Hi Kathleen, You are right about these wonderful lamps. I splurged last year for my birthday and bought myself one of the large lamps and I just love it! Perhaps it's time to invest in another one? I will have to check out your gallery in Ballard. If anyone is not familiar with these lamps, you owe it to yourself to go and check them out...they are beautiful! Marlene

Indeed, Marlene. These lamps are just wonderful to have around. I have my office filled and the gallery here has a mere 9 small lamps, 3 large ones, and 5 candle holders on display. I have oodles more, too. Thank you for your comment and helping spread the word about how magical these lamps are. Gallery hours change, so call ahead. 206-384-8978 Hours in general: Monday and Tuesdays 9:30 - 2, Wed am 9:30 - noon, and every other Thursday.
