  I had the pleasure of photographing one of Kathy’s design projects a few weeks ago, and I was so impressed by what I saw that I just HAD to write a review. Kathy COMPLETELY transformed her client’s kitchen from drab suburban BLAH to a sleekly modern, stunning kitchen that made me want to run out a buy my own home so Kathy could design the exact same kitchen for me!

  I was seriously impressed by her re-model – she added a raised bar in the kitchen-nook area and created a feeling of spaciousness that makes the whole kitchen look larger, and freshened up the cabinets with gorgeous, rich and satiny black paint that added both warmth and an updated feeling to the kitchen. The addition of simple things such as new drawer-pulls, concealed hinges and new blinds further updated the look, and they did so without costing her client a fortune, which impressed me even further.

  In the past I’d always looked at interior designers as a bit of a luxury, but after seeing this kitchen I realized that quite the opposite is true – a great designer can pinpoint EXACTLY what you need to do in order to update a home and increase it’s aesthetic (and market) value, and can guide clients towards the most cost-effective remodeling options as well. My thinking now is that you can’t afford to NOT hire an awesome interior designer like Kathy if you’re looking to remodel your home!

  Kathy Sturr with Inside-Out Designs is the best! We hired her to re-do our kitchen and it is so beautiful. This is our first home and we had never taken on a project like this before. In fact, it was hiring Kathy and her team of contractors that made this project possible.

  I love her style both aestheticall...y and how she led us through the whole process. She broke it all down and explained what had to be done first. She always gave us the option to have her do more or less of the work depending on my needs and budget. She guided us through picking amazing materials and my kitchen is BEAUTIFUL! It went from being 80's orange to modern & sophisticated. And we didn't even purchase new cabinets! Nope, we kept the old ones & repainted them. People cannot believe they are the same ones.

  More than anything else Kathy provided us with peace of mind. She didn't bring anyone in who she didn't personally trust. She didn't let any of the little things go by the wayside. She stayed on top of all the contractors until my kitchen was beautiful enough for her to live in. Kathy, you have great taste, style, and integrity. Thank you so much for transforming my home.   I was thrilled with the personal home evaluation I received from Kathy. I was hesitant about the initial consultation because my home is so small I was sure there was nothing Kathy could suggest to make the space more useable, but much to my pleasant surprise, she had several great ideas for how I could economize space and add storage! From simply switching out a vase to adding bins in my closet, her excellent recommendations were smart and economical. Kathy’s effervescent personality was also a joy to be around, and I’d highly recommend her for projects large or small.   [less]

  Kathy Sturr is simply wonderful. She has renovation and interior design in her blood and came up through the ranks of her family’s custom cabinetry business where she gained the kind of practical hands-on, detailed knowledge that fully complements her university education in interior design. This combination makes Kathy great to work with. Here’s why… her vendors and sub-contractors respect her and like working with her because she speaks their language!
