  Feel free to email questions or by phone at 206.898.4259. My specialty is a lifetime of performing music and earning a degree in piano. Now all my experience has shown me that children need to be FINISHED with their musical fundamentals by age 9. If they are, there is not one child who cannot learn. Not one.

  I teach my students and now your children (birth to 9) what I needed to know and did not. All children should be trained musically BOTH by ear and by reading music, and they will learn effortlessly with simple, ecstatically fun classes with me.

  Musical literacy should be taught at the same age and same way as language literacy. First by ear, and from birth.

  My parents, grandparents and even other music teachers now take adult group piano. Music teachers often never learned by ear.
  "Enjoy music together". The best activity for your family to bond significantly while seriously pumping up the brain, all ages!

I have always had success with children entering at any age before 9, but babies and toddlers evolve effortlessly and optimally. Send me your babies and toddlers, and parents and caregivers thrive in their own musicianship, as they daily share music with their little one. What a thrill to see! [less]
