Springboard from every young child's musical aptitude to prepare them for any musical path. This includes three years piano lessons, just before graduation about age 10. Through singing, instruments, movement and focused listening, I have never had a child not learn every musical fundamental needed. In short, we enjoy making music as a family class, from birth. All the rest follows.

Since music and language learning are almost identical in development, I prefer to begin teaching at birth or toddler level. I have always had success with children entering at any age before 9, but babies and toddlers evolve effortlessly and optimally. Send me your babies and toddlers, and parents and caregivers thrive in their own musicianship, as they daily share music with their little one. What a thrill to see!

My liberal arts BA is in general music, emphasis piano performance. I also have a certificate in practical nursing which is a key complement to understanding all the needs of children.

I taught children private piano in college and after. I find much more satisfaction and enjoyment for the children and for me, since I changed to group piano (once in awhile private as needed to supplement).
I began teaching Musikgarten curriculum in 2003-- brilliant and never fails with children and families.
