  • New "message your network" tool question

I am really happy with the new tool that will allow me to send a message to my network. Unfortunately it caps at 50 people. I can re-send the message but it doesn't show who I have already sent it to. I don't want to send it to people twice. Any simple suggestions?

  • How do you keep yourself going when you don't have enough clients?

One thing I constantly hear from my clients is, " I need more clients. What can I do?"

Part of being in business is that cash flow goes up and down and client load varies. One thing that helps me is to rev up the marketing and get out there and talk to people. It always makes me feel back on track.

    What do you do?

  • Jogging and Blogging

    Hi everyone

Like many of you I have a blog. Although I don't work on my blog 4 hours a day, I do endeavor to write good posts and offer something of value to my readers. I do get readers, but very few people actually make comments. When they do, it's wonderful and so appreciated.

I would love some feedback. It would be great if you would go to my blog, read a couple posts and I am open to any feedback, suggestions etc. I am also happy to do the same for you if you write in your blog url. Thanks so much. Just click here.

  • What is one positive thing you are doing?

Being self-employed and owning a small business can feel like constant hard work. It is also gratifying and can provide heaps of promise and benefits. What is one positive thing you are doing that is changing the way you re working or relating to your own business?

I have just hired an assistant for three hours a week. Not a lot of hours but very significant.

  • Taking the leap to becoming an employer

My business has grown by leaps and bounds this past year due to my continued hard work. In fact there is now too much work to do all myself. I am in that funny overlap time where it's a bit of a leap of faith to go for it and hire someone but I know in my gut that it will pay for itself.

Wondering if anyone else can relate and can offer any words of support. Here is the link to my job description just in case you might know someone who fits the bill!

  • Happy New Year 2009

I look forward to the New Year being prosperous and expansive in my own world and my own business.

I feel excited by beginning the year with new goals. I'll be doing my new vision board for the year next week and will do a strategic planning session with my team.

I am excited about the fresh slate and beginning of the new cycle. What are you all doing to begin the new year?

  • How's your business doing?

It seems like some businesses are doing well in spite of the downward economy. It's an interesting question. I can suggest two possible reasons. Certain businesses have products and services that people really need right now. For instance if you are selling tire chains in a big snowstorm. But some business owners are saavy enough to stay on top of the game and constantly tweak their products to meet the needs of their customers.

Second reason is that a small business owner often is under-funded and therefore they cut back on when they should invest. The people who do well are the ones who keep investing in their business by getting help, creating better systems, managing their money and creating a strong foundation. Any other ideas? Do you agree?

  • Calling Apple Angels

    Hey mac users,

I have a MacBook that is starting to be a bit "slow." I know that there is a maintenance process that I am supposed to do every so often. I have never done it all and although it was explained to me once ( thanks Christian) it didn't stick in my brain. It would be great if someone can give me step by step instructions. Don't assume that I know anything. I do know stuff but I have a low level anxiety when it comes to tech repair. Thanks to all you Apple Angels!

  • How to dirve people to my blog...

Like many of you I put up a blog and I enjoy it. It's fun to write short snippets, add cool pictures and then get a conversation going.

My question: What is the lest time consuming way to get people to your blog page. I have read about how it's important to go to other bogs and write. I was told it takes two hours a day to do it this way. No way can I do that.

I know my part is to write in a way that invites a response once they get there.

  • Do you know anyone who...

Do you know anyone who has hosted a radio show with Voice America and was successful.

The opportunity was presented to me and I am interested in the opportunities that could follow with this and how to assess the investment. It looks like it could lead to live video web casts, videos and demand, selling the show to other smaller radio stations etc. as well as selling my book. Has anyone done this or do you know someone who knows someone who has done this and been a success?

I would love to talk to such person! Thanks
