What Kelly Jean does
Kelly Jean Davis is the creative mind of Farm Girl Works, a Seattle, Washington graphic design firm that specializes in artisans and indie businesses. Representative clients include: Arts Corps, dBoone construction, playmatters, Yeats Design, Yogabutter and pro bono work for the University of Washington Medical Center's art program. Projects include branding, web sites and identity packages. See the portfolio at www.farmgirlworks.com.
Prior to founding Farm Girl Works in 2000, Kelly was an art director for Luminant Worldwide and worked with clients such as Microsoft. Previous to that, she was the in-house graphic designer for Experience Hendrix, the estate of the late (great) Jimi Hendrix. And! she edited and designed four fetish magazines.
Kelly is a self-trained graphic designer with over ten years of experience in editorial, identity, and web design. Earlier she primarily worked in editorial design, but now specializes in smaller, independent companies that need a distinctive look to complement their business goals.
Pennsylvania State University bestowed a bachelor's degree in mass communications on her in 1990. She has also taken creative classes at School of Visual Concepts and local colleges. She interned at New York University and British Broadcasting Company.
Turn-ons include the library, bunnies, bears, birdbaths, cows, hydrangeas, and marinated calamari. Turn-offs include hairballs, flies, white plastic bags, halitosis, Dick Cheney, and marigolds. Her greatest flaw is perfectionism and greatest strength is 70 pounds at the leg press.
What Kelly Jean does best
My premise is simple: creating web sites for artists and small companies that want a portfolio or brochure online. I am also experienced in print collateral with branding and logo creation as an area of focus.
