Event description

Everybody dies. If your death is unexpected, do the people closest to you know your wishes? Can they afford what you want? How will your business be affected? These are just some issues that we all face but would prefer not to. We'll try to make this talk as open and informative as possible so you can understand what choices you can make right now. Some of the topics we will cover are:

  • laws in Washington state regarding disposition, especially if you are not married
  • "metropolitan green" burials and cremation (including natural cemeteries in Washington)
  • what burials and cremations entail
  • business issues regarding planning ahead (taxes, etc)

We'll also have a question and answer time where you can ask any question -- really, any at all! Free food and beverages will be available. And, of course, there will be time for people to network and chat.

This is going to be a good way for health practitioners, religious and spiritual leaders, and "green" providers to network and learn a bit more about options for the end-of-life. I can't wait to meet you all!

I am keeping my fingers crossed to be able to attend this event. I am so glad that you've found a way to bring this subject matter to light. I work a lot with folks to help them think about the unthinkable, and it can be very emotional. Look forward to meeting you all there!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it tonight after all, but, if anyone has any questions for me, please feel free to message me. I have a document that I believe all of you might find useful. It's a document that lists important people's names and contact information, as well as where to locate important documents and information (such as will, safety deposit box, insurance information). I give it to all my clients, and ask that they fill it out, and pass it on to their CPA's, Lawyers, and loved ones!
