What is a Vital Earth Tradition?

Tradition is a practice, story, or custom that is passed down from generation to generation. Many of our ancestors handed down traditions that were basic life skills that are now considered Green Living, Organic, and Natural. Using chemicals that are damaging to the life of the planet is a "NEW" practice. The traditions and respect for Green Living is a practice as old as time it's self. Kelly recieved her Massage Therapy Certificate from Seattle Massage School in Everett WA in 1998. Reiki 1 & 2 Certificate Training started in 1996 with Tana Hamiter. In 1998 studied Reiki levels 1, 2, and 3 with Susan Kelsey. Traditional Reiki studies with Karen Reisler in 2002. Reiki Master Studies completed in 2006 with Marianne Streich. Masters in Aromatherapy was aquired from the NW College of Herbal and Aromatic Studies with Jade Shutes. Childbirth Education and Doula Certificates are from the Seattle Midwifery School in Seattle WA. Other areas of study and certificates are Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Acupressure, Herbology, Lomi Lomi Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Tissue Therapies, Rev., Animal Massage, Reflexology and Nutrition. Kelly has currently enrolled into the Astralasian College of Health Sciences for the Associates of Applied Science in Complimentary Alternative Medicene with a dual major of Aromatherapy and Herbal Medicine Majors.

My herbal research started over 15 years ago. While being pregnant with a back injury, I had to research and treat myself naturally for inflammation and pain. Later my 2nd child got the RSV virus at 2 weeks old. Antibiotic use became less effective after being used frequently. I began researching again and working closely with a Medical Doctor and Naturopath. (She is quite well and sassy now!) My 1st child started developing at the age of 4 from a reaction to the horomones and chemicals in foods and personal care products. Again, I started taking classes and kept researching on my own. (she now is fine too! Just very tall and pretty!) At this point I was known as the herb nerd by friends and family. At this time I began helping educate others with natural remedy information. During this same period I was studying and practicing Reiki, Attending Massage Therapy School, acquired my Ministers License. Studied religion, spiritual practices, and prayer with several Spiritual and Religious Teachers for over 12 years. I attended the Seattle Midwifery School for my Doula certificate and Childbirth Education. I worked as a Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Doula and Childbirth Educator from 1998 to 2006. My studies continued during this time with Acupressure, Reflexology, Lomi Lomi Massage, Deep Tissue Therapies, Hot Stone Massage, Aromatherapy, Herbology, Nutrition, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Animal Massage and utilized these studies in my practice. I began making my own personal care products in 1995 and in 1999 started making most of my Massage Therapy Lotions, Creams and other supplies (I also developed reactions to chemicals in personal care products after prolonged continual lotion use in Massage). During this time frame my 3rd child developed ADHD type symptoms, but is not diagnosed with it. I have had to do my best to treat him naturally, which involves constant research and just tons of work!!! I continued my Aromatherapy studies and recieved my Masters Certificate which has propelled me into my business today. I have recently enrolled into the Australasian College for further studies.
