A dream come true…ever since Kelly Simants was a little girl she dreamed about becoming a wedding planner. In college she began to pursue this dream and took an Entrepreneur class to explore how she might be able to create her own successful business someday. She wrote a business plan and realized that this vision could soon become a reality! To gain experience, Kelly worked as a Wedding Coordinator at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Washington. She coordinated up to three weddings a weekend and eventually realized it was time to open her own business! She planned weddings and events on the side for years while she continued to pursue her career in Human Resources. Eventually, Kelly had the opportunity to take her wedding and event planning company full-time and thus, the beginning of Sweet Pea Events! Her sincere passion for people, coupled with her creativity and event savvy, are just a few reasons why she loves event planning and would enjoy the opportunity to work with you!
