Northwest's Best Dressed

From a young age I have always taken a strong interest in fashion and style. Long before there was 'Project Runway' I knew I wanted to have a career in fashion. After studying fashion design and merchandising at Washington State and the Art Institute of Seattle, I moved to Los Angeles to kick start my career in fashion design.

In LA I got a job at Guess, Inc. working in the Marciano design department. I also worked at a high end vintage consignment store specializing in designer brands such as Chanel, YSL, Halson, Gucci, Emilio Pucci. I worked with a variety of celebrities and stylists including the famed celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. I helped Rachel pick out dresses for Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway and Selma Hayek for various events such as the SAG and Academy Awards, and film and small screen. She was very pleased with the garments I picked out for her famous clientele. This was a large wake up sign for me to change my focus from design to styling.

Currently I am developing my portfolio in Wardrobe Styling, while starting a fashion blog. I would love to network with other fashion industry professionals and those interested in contributing to my blog.

With seven years of retail experience and a life long love of fashion and styling, I have an innate eye for key trends, fit, color, and detail which allows me to coordinate outfits with precision. Knowing what works for your body and how to put clothing together is what I do best.

On the design end, I specialize in a broad range of fashion related skills such as pattern drafting, draping, fashion illustration and execution of a garment from conceptualization to finished project. I have associate level experience in technical design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Currently I am looking for employment in the fashion industry in styling, design or merchandising. My goal is to work with positive energy individuals in a team setting. This can be difficult to find in fashion businesses but they are out there somewhere!
