  • I am looking forward to it! I have done this hike before ... there is a "down" component followed of course, by returning back up the hill. Trail has stones so wear good shoes, not flip flops.

Water option at the bottom if anyone needs a refresher.

Great choice for a walk-n-talk, Iliane! (down and back up with a rest at the bottom is probably about an hour and 15 minutes...)

  • Dave,

Wow... you have already made practical use of the event last night with your new promotion and your new picture!

Great to meet you last night and I look forward to seeing you at the next Austin event...

Oh, GREAT pic by the way. Teeth... who knew?

  • Susan and MG, YOU ROCK! Thanks for taking the time to organize such an inspirational event with the urgency of life or death. Talking with the saints and the sinners at the Cemetery was FUN. Perhaps we could meet in that space again and continue the conversation?

I am particularly inspired to be 5 minutes early for all meetings AND to forgive myself within 5 minutes if I am not.

Also, I said that I would be in communication with ALL of my clients weekly and this week 3 of my clients have already CALLED ME... strange how that works.

Looking forward to many more large biznik gatherings... bring it! AHHH, I am remembering that I said I would post an event for Jenny's gig at Saxon Pub... I will do that now!

  • Thanks Susan, for a different way to dissect a commitment!

My kaizen for fitness is to simply put on my tennis shoes in the morning. The rest (exercise) either happens or it doesn't ... But it is amazing what I feel like doing when my tennis shoes are on! My challenge has been the 60 second limit.

    How is everyone else doing?

  • Kare, You missed a GOOD one. Really a lot of very scary business sharing. I was on the edge of my seat.

We ARE getting to know each other, and more business, I am sure, will be the productive Kaizen by-product of the fun we had... GHOST stories.

My friends have experienced real not real beings from another time and it is FREEEAKY! SCARY! FUN!

I do not think I have had that much fun hanging out with a glass of wine and friends just talking in ages. Scary. I actually had the hair on the nape of my neck standing on end.

Just so you know, Karrie, Penny saging her house the morning after being scared shitless is not necessarily a GOOD thing.

And Jenee cleaning her "portals" ... it was wild!

  • Great article for three reasons:

    1. It is clear and easy to understand
    2. You offer a lot great and practical advice
    3. You end on the powerful note that listening to a mentor's stories will help get me past my wall...and then you emphasize the importance of this by saying it is "one of the most important tools..."

    Thanks!

  • Hey YA'LL! Looking forward to an impromptu happy HAPPY hour. Please note that Vino Vino Posted on their website: "Do not, under any circumstances, park in the lot for New World Deli."

I guess they have had some towing issues.

Please use the metered spots on the street in front, or go around Hyde Park Gym and park their.

  • I will send you a message now to your profile... NXNW is not going to work as you need quiet space. Penny and I found another place... better for your event on the 23rd.

  • Second event in Austin was small and successful. 4 RSVPs and 4 people showed up, so that is great with only 3 days warning on the event.

Austin is determined to have at least one event a month now that Karrie has kicked things off in November and, even though we are all slammed with the holiday planning, 4 Bizniks showed up... plus me the host. So I declare we are moving forward in Austin.

We have another event planned for January and I think that 2008 will start to bring us multiple monthly events and also more Austin members.

200 Austin members by Dec. 31 2008...We can do it if you tell 3 friends and they tell 3 friends... Please encourage your Austin friends to become members and come to our events.

    FUN.
    Kimberly

  • Thanks Penny, Christa, Kerry and Jenny for making it a GREAT happy hour last night.

We toasted a lot and I shared 3 tips for Toasting the Holidays. Please post some more comments here after you return from toasting ... how did the tips work out and did they allay fears or help with confidence? Remember, sense of humor is key to a great toast...don't get all serious and heavy AND... brevity is king.

We all shared what we need in the coming year for our businesses... and we also could see areas where we can help each other.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the January events and hearing stories of your Holiday toasts.

  • Christa, Looking forward to finally meeting you. I think your services could really help Realtors when we find a smelly house.

Love to meet Eduardo... please ask him to become a Biznik member and RSVP... the more the merrier.

We need to find a santa hat for penny... just for tomorrow night.
