Where We Started

In response to an overwhelming number of request from emerging and professional artists, The Power of Basics consulting services was founded as a division of La Familia, the art of living LLC. A Seattle based company which focuses on the promotion and education of emerging artists.

Originally designed to help individual artists develop healthy careers, the program quickly gained popularity with established creative companies. This demand was driven by both the desire to compete in a changing economy and the need for an improved quality of life.

The Power of Basics consultants is a group of talented business minds interested in bringing sold corporate strategy to creative companies seeking a competitive edge.

  Lanae has played a major role in the development of my art career during the past year and a half. The best part about her gallery is the fact that creative thinkers are welcome to express themselves, learn and share ideas in a safe environment.

  La Familia and Lanae are a wealth of resources to the growing artist (do we ever stop?). Without learning from her high standards, it would have taken much longer to get to where I am now. She sets an example for serious artists by consistently demonstrating her commitment, resilience, perseverance and common sense approach to the business of art.
