Our Philosophy

At Power of Basics we believe that businesses should run efficiently, and that decision makers should be armed with the information they need in order to make the best choices for their company. If there is any confusion or lack of clarity in the company there is the opportunity for unnecessary poor decisions.

Our goal is to work alongside business owners, managers and staff to find effective, tailored solutions that increase communication, and support sustainability, productivity, profitability, and improved quality of life for all members of the company.

Where We Started

In response to an overwhelming number of request from emerging and professional artists, The Power of Basics consulting services was founded as a division of La Familia, the art of living LLC. A Seattle based company which focuses on the promotion and education of emerging artists.

Originally designed to help individual artists develop healthy careers, the program quickly gained popularity with established creative companies. This demand was driven by both the desire to compete in a changing economy and the need for an improved quality of life.

The Power of Basics consultants is a group of talented business minds interested in bringing sold corporate strategy to creative companies seeking a competitive edge.

At Power of Basics we know that simple business is smart business. We understand that "complicated" doesn't necessarily mean "profitable." In fact, the more convoluted the business system, the harder it is for decision makers to access the knowledge they need to make healthy choices for the company. We work alongside Owners, Managers and Staff to create simple, effective systems that allow everyone to function efficiently and allow business Owners and Managers easy access to accurate and timely information about all aspects of the company - everything from sales made to customer satisfaction and beyond.
