What is Sugaring? It's an Ancient Middle Eastern technique of hair removal. Sugaring is totally unlike waxing. It's all natural, less painful, not hot, easier to clean up and significantly more sanitary.

We use a ball of sugar paste consisting of Sugar, Lemon, Water and Guar Gum. It's a gooey, edible ball of sugar similar in consistency to thick honey. The paste is formed into a ball and molded against the natural direction of hair growth. With a flick of the wrist the paste is whisked off the skin taking the hair, root and all, with it.

The paste is lukewarm and does not stick to the skin, making it significantly less painful than waxing. Clients say their skin is less red and recovers faster from the experience.

The sugar paste is water soluable so a little bit of water and the sticky residue comes right off the skin. Unlike waxing we don't use oil or solvents on the skin.

Lastly, sugaring is more sanitary, unlike waxing we never go back in to the pot. Once we remove a bit of sugar from the pot and never go back in to it. We use the same ball of sugar paste until the service has been completed and throw it away.

After obtaining my AA in 1989, I moved to Seattle and went on to study Respiratory Therapy.
In 2002 I took an esthetics course in order to volunteer for The American Cancer Society's Look Good Feel Better program.
2003 I received my certification in Sugaring 2003 Look Good Feel Better Training Course *2005 certified as a Sugaring Educator
